Jens Voigt is a hard man. I don't know what else to say about the guy. He embodies so much of what is great and tough about racing bikes. So, if you are reading this, it means either you understand that or you aspire to that or both. So how do you become a bit more like Jens in your own cycling life. There isn't a 12 Step program; there isn't a list of 10 things; there is just one thing. Luckily for you, I was able to find two videos that embody this one thing.

Awesome. Unfortunately the last time I tried this trick my legs wouldn't shut up.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with Team Rider 1. I tried this trick on the way home last night as I climbed up the bluff trails. When my lungs started to ache and my legs started to hurt, I told them both to shut the hell up.
ReplyDeleteThat didn't work, so then I thought about the part where he talks about the blood in his mouth that presumably comes up from his seered lungs, and by the time I was done pondering the sheer f'ing awfulness of that, I was magically at the top. Thanks Jens!
